This Privacy Policy describes how Cosmic Chaos (accessible at mercury-core.online) collects, uses, and protects information about its users.
By using this site, creating an account, or signing in, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Cosmic Chaos offers an optional account system to save your progress in the cloud. Depending on how you use the site, we collect the following data:

☁️ If you don't create an account, the only data stored is your game progress in your browser's localStorage, on your own device. Nothing is sent to any server.
The account system is completely optional. You can play without registering. If you choose to create an account, your information is securely stored in Cloudflare D1 (a SQLite database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure).
- Passwords: your Cosmic Chaos account password is stored as a SHA-256 hash. This is a password you create exclusively for this game — it has no relation to your email provider, Google, or any other service. We never store it in plain text and cannot retrieve it.
- Sessions: managed via random tokens stored in Cloudflare KV with a 30-day expiration.
- Google OAuth: when signing in with Google, we only receive your Google ID, email, display name, and profile picture. We do not access any other data from your Google account.
If you have an active account, your progress is automatically saved to the cloud every 5 minutes. We store:
- Your complete game state (resources, buildings, upgrades, skills, relics)
- A history of your last 10 save versions, which you can restore at any time from your account panel
Saves are stored in Cloudflare D1 linked to your account. You can delete them at any time by closing your account.
This site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate correctly, save your game progress, and display advertisements.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any third party outside of the services listed above.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your email, username, and hashed password are permanently deleted
- All your cloud saves and save history are permanently deleted
- All active sessions are immediately invalidated
Anonymous analytics data is not deleted as it is not linked to your identity.
Cosmic Chaos is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you (email, username, save history)
- Correct your account information
- Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your game progress from the account panel
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google
- Play without an account — the game works fully without registering
